Martin Luthr King, Jr. was this type of individual that possessed the Heart,Soul and Soft-Spirit that was needed to bring about the Change that was needed to better the lives of ALL individuals. In today’s Society and World, I just don’t know if there is one that exist that is Selfless enough, Courageous enough, Strong enough, LOVING enough to step up and do what MLK did in his time. Yes, there are many that walk around from day to day preaching a Good game but they don’t TRULY exhibit the character to be able to endure and persevere in the face of Opposition and Hatred from the people.

Has GOD Created an MLK for Our present day? If HE has is it just not time for He/She to be revealed? Is that individual afraid to step up and speak up because of the opposition they will be met with? Is that individual already in Our midst, doing their job but We just are too Ignorant to WANT hear them?…

We definitely need an MLK for today because We may be somewhat better off but We as Human Beings have a long way to go before We can say any of Us have ‘Reached the Mountaintop’ as Individuals, Groups, a People, a Race/Races or a Society or World with ALL of the ILLS that We face and witness in Our present day.

My Friends, let’s Pray for an MLK to speak to Us and Enlighten Us to the TRUTH of where We should be and what GOD wants for Us as a Whole.

Thinking about many of the issues that Women have in relationships, issues they have with Men and many times with themselves, I came to the conclusion that much of it has to do with the relationship that they had or have with their Fathers. A lot of the issues stem from the fact of if their Father showed them LOVE, said he LOVED them or if he was actually in their lives. During My 40+ years of life and having been in a number of relationships with Women from ALL walks of life one thing stands TRUE for ALL of them, if they had a Good relationship with their Father and he displayed to them what a LOVING, Caring Man should be to them, they possessed the ability to receive LOVE openly but on the other side of the coin, if their Father was not there for them or was there but did not display to them what a LOVING/Caring Man should be, they had issues with receiving LOVE openly, being vulnerable, knowing their roles as Women in a relationship and they carried years of unreleased anger with them.

Women, this is not your fault by any means, the blame falls upon the shoulders of the Fathers that did not or do not step up to the plate and be Fathers to their Daughters. Fathers, We have to stand up and take our places as the Fathers that GOD has blessed us to be to our Daughters and LOVE them like we are supposed to. We have to LOVE them, show them LOVE, tell them we LOVE them, live the example of a LOVING and Caring Man so that our Daughters will know what to look for in a Gentle-Man and not fall for every man that shows them attention, the wrong type of Man, know their TRUE worth as a Woman and know what LOVE really is.

I have made a pledge to GOD and Myself to be the Best Father I can be to My Daughters so that they won’t have
to have the issues that plague so many Women and causes their relationships to falter, not possessing the ability to openly receive LOVE. Fathers, we have to LOVE our Daughters because they will only LOVE how We LOVE them. Let’s prepare them for success in their relationships.

-’You make Me MELT and I don’t want to be Frozen anymore!’

While sitting at the Window the other Morning watching the Sunrise and enjoying My cup of Coffee, I witnessed the most Amazing thing, its Awesome what You see if you only look…Where I was seated on the stool near the Window, I was perched over the sink and in the sink were ice cubes that were MELTING away as the seconds ticked away on the clock. As I looked down into the sink at the ice cubes My mind began to ponder the idea of Change, witnessing the transformation of one of the ice cubes as it MELTED and began to metamorphasize into water once again as the heat in the room carressed it’s Cold outer shell.

As I watched the ice cube transform, I could see the water inside of it move around becoming liquid again, as the still frozen, hardened, outer shell retained it’s icy form, as if it was fighting against it’s Own Changing. As the ice cube continued to MELT and transform, the inside of it that had become water again moved from side to side like it was searching for a way out…It’s FREEDOM. This brought to mind how We are to Change from the Inside Out…

Like the ice cube, eventhough We may fight it, if We want Our Outward to Change, We have to Change Our Inward initially. We have to start with the Inside. We have to start with Our Hearts, Our Souls, Our Minds…Our Inner Being has to Change so as to become a Better individual outwardly. Projecting Our Best to the World.

The MELTING of the ice cube continued as I watched and the water moving around inside of the still frozen outer shell seemed to Me to be akin to the ice cube having a Soul that was determined to Change and be Free of it’s hardened shell. A metaphor for Us, Human Beings and how Our Souls long to be Free from the hardened shells that We have encased them in during the days of Our Lives and the things that We have experienced.

My Friends, let’s be like that MELTING ice cube and start to Change from the Inside Out so that We can Change into the BEST Us that We can be and project and present the BEST Us to other’s that not only We want to project and present but that GOD wants Us to project and present.

Are You a MELTING Ice Cube or are You fighting against Change to remain Frozen and Hardened?

Happy Father’s Day, My Friends!

Its Amazing to Me how people can come up with ALL types of excuses or reasons to justify their Sinning or Wrong Doing. For some reason many of Us seem to think that Jesus’ dying on the Cross gave Us FREE-REIGN to Sin as much as We like and then simply ask for Forgiveness and ALL will be ok and BEAUTIFUL with the World. This is So far from the TRUTH! Yes, its TRUE that GOD Forgives Us Our Sins but HE also tells Us in HIS Word,

There are many that choose Sin and actually ask for Forgiveness during the actual committing of the Sin. Talk about CONTRADICTION! Thats Man for you, right?! How can One know that an act is Wrong in GOD’s Eyes, continue to take part in the act and ask Forgiveness ALL at the same time? I guess that individual feels that Sinning in this way makes the Sin a ‘Little White Sin.’ (What the Hell…)

My writing this post comes from reading more on the Bishop Eddie Long case and thinking of ALL of the individuals out there that have Sinned and are Sinning and might feel that their DARKNESS won’t have LIGHT Shined upon IT…Oh, My Friend, the time for Your Sin to be revealed is coming, just as everyone’s Sin in days past have been revealed. Be assured that if You have Sinned or are Sinning GOD will not and does not allow Sins to go unpunished. Whether We have a feeling that Our Sin is justified because it ‘Feels Good to Us’ or ‘Our Sin is out of Revenge or Anger’ or ‘We have asked Forgiveness during Our Sinning thinking that makes it Ok’ or ‘We have a LOFTY idea of who We are because of Our title or status’ or ‘We feel that the World owes Us something,’ the Sin that We commit will be Revealed and GOD will allow Us to deal with the consequences until We learn from those Sins, no matter how long Our learning or disciplining takes. 

My Friend, We have ALL Sinned and most of Us will continue to Sin, for One reason or another but GOD is continually calling to Us to choose to ‘Flee from Sin…’ so that HE won’t have to discipline Us and so that We won’t have to deal with those consequences that We Truly don’t want to have to deal with from the start.

I’m continually checking Myself …What are You doing to Flee from Sin? Or are You choosing to Sin because You feel You have Free Reign to do it?

STRONGER THAN DEATH

-‘One has to find something in their Life that they Stand for that is Stronger than DEATH and with that…DEATH will
have no Power over them…’

Sitting amongst the congregation during Easter Morning Services on yesterday and listening to the message delivered by Otis Moss, Jr. and hearing him speak on the topic of finding something in Your Life that is ‘Stronger than DEATH,’ which was a Metaphor for Christ’s being crucified for Living a Life of TRUTH and Righteousness and speaking Words that were against what many Believed, then Arising from the Dead after Living a Life of TRUTH and Righteousness, doing His Father’s Work and that being His ‘SOMETHING’ that He stood for that was Stronger than DEATH and that which in turn led Him to His DEATH upon the Cross, I began to think about what is it that I STOOD for in My Life that, to Me, is ‘Stronger than DEATH’ that keeps Me going or doing that SOMETHING no matter what opposition I come against…

As Mr. Moss continued speaking he spoke about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his battle for Civil Rights  and Equality for ALL and how this battle was Dr. King’s SOMETHING that was ‘Stronger than DEATH’ in his Life. During Dr. King’s battle for the Equal Rights of ALL he was met with Great opposition from those that did not want or Believe the same things he did and from those that did not WANT to hear the TRUTH. Mr. Moss spoke about Dr. King’s imprisonment and how he would not give up the battle even when DEATH was staring him in the face…

As I continued to listen to the message the idea crossed My mind that the DEATH doesn’t have to be the DEATH where Our Lives come to an End, which is what Mr. Moss was speaking on, I thought about the fact that it could be the DEATH of a Friendship, Relationship, Partnership, Union or any form of ‘coming together’ that comes to an End due to One’s standing for something that they will not give up on because it is Right,
Moral or TRUE, even when those around don’t agree and criticize them for it…

After much thought about it I came to the conclusion that the SOMETHING in My Life that I stand for that is ‘Stronger than DEATH,’ in whatever form it may come in, is LOVE, TRUTH and INTEGRITY. No matter how others might tear apart what I might Write, Speak or Believe, I simply refuse, just like Jesus, Dr. King or anyone else that stood for SOMETHING, to back down off of it. And, just like Jesus and Dr. King, it is not
My TRUTH that I stand on or for, it is GOD’s TRUTH and that cannot be CHALLENGED, no matter what others Believe or say…

My Friend…My Reader, ‘What is it that You STAND for in Your Life that is ‘Stronger than DEATH?’’ If there is Nothing, give it some thought…Then STAND Up…And, You will no longer FEAR DEATH of any kind…
