Write A Letter…

Write A Letter…

-‘There’s something to be said about an individual that takes the time to actually pick up a Writing utensil and a piece of Paper to write another a Letter…Definitely a Heartfelt Gesture.’

                                                                                                -PM Bishop

The next time You want to let someone know how You feel about them or You simply want to touch them in a Special Way…Write them a Personal Letter. Grab a Pen or Pencil, a piece of Paper and Write something from the Heart. The Message will touch them but the fact that You actually took the time to Write the Letter by Hand will not only touch their Heart but their Soul and their Life.

There is a POWER in Hand-Written Words…

Write them a Letter…Today…

Just Going Through The Motions

Just Going Through The Motions

As I sat in church service on Sunday, the thought came to Me concerning the issue of people attending church just because it’s Sunday and that’s just what they do on the Sabbath, in other words ‘Just Going through the Motions.’ I said to Myself, ‘I wonder how many of the people in attendance are really here to get a Word from GOD?’ ‘How many of these people are actually hearing the Word and applying it to their lives?’ ‘How many of these people are singing these songs and really meaning the Words that they are singing?’ How many people are truly Praying sincerely from the Heart?’ ‘If I asked a number of the people in church service what they actually heard today in the message, when service was over, how many of them could actually tell Me what they heard?’

As I sat there listening to the message and absorbing ALL that I heard to use later and apply to My life, I said to Myself how sad it was that most of the people, I mean… Christians, in service were doing just that ‘Going Through the Motions,’ with the lifting of their hands, the singing of songs, the shaking of hands, the bowing of their heads, the clapping of their hands, the closing of their eyes, the praying of Prayers and the Amen-ing of Amens. I would say that you could probably count the number of TRUE worshipers, not simply ‘Going Through the Motions’ on one hand.

What have we come to?

It’s a TERRIBLE thing that this is going on in Church but ‘Just Going Through the Motions’ is happening in every area of Our lives, day after day. We go through Life waking up in the Morning ‘Going Through the Motions’ preparing for our day….

‘Going Through the Motions’ on our jobs and in our careers not enjoying one moment of it…

‘Going Through the Motions’ in our marriages and in our relationships with others because we have become
accustomed to the people in our lives ‘just’ being there and taking their presence for granted…

‘Going Through the Motions’ with our families and the ones we LOVE, taking for granted that they know we LOVE them because we are a part of their lives and hardly ‘ever’ saying to them how we Care and that we LOVE them…

‘Going Through the Motions’ speaking to others we meet, asking ‘How are you?’ and not stopping to hear their reply…

‘Going Through the Motions’ saying how we hate Wrong and Sin but not doing anything to CHANGE the Wrongs to Rights and continuing to commit Sins ourselves…

‘Going Through the Motions’ of Praying that GOD will Bless us but not having any intention of doing what we
need to do to become that ‘ONE‘ that GOD will Bless…

‘Just Going Through the Motions’ is just a LIE that we are telling ourselves and everyone around us but we are ALL so engrossed in the LIE, that we are ignorant to the fact that we are even ‘Going Through the Motions’ in most of the things we do. We need to wake up and Enjoy Our Lives, really give of Ourselves to those in Our Lives and show that we are not taking them for granted, stand up for what is Right and hate Sin, so that we can do away with the Wrongs we witness day to day and most of ALL, STOP ‘Just Going Through the Motions’ when it comes to GOD and truly give Ourselves, Our Lives and Hearts to HIM so that Our Lives, the Lives of others and Our World as a whole will be the BEST it can be.

My Friend…Are you ‘Just Going Through the Motions’ in any area of your Life? If you are, I hope that you notice it and Change it soon because…

‘Life is too Important to ‘Just Go Through the Motions!’

At The Speed Of Sound…

At The Speed Of Sound…

The sound of the ticking of time catches my ear, as I look up at the clock to find that it has already passed me by. There was once a time when time was not akin to an airplane’s passing overhead, hearing the sound, as the airplane passes over and looking up into the Sky, only to find it’s entrails that have been left in its wake, along with the sound of its passing by. Following it’s entrails of smoke, after burn, you come to find that the plane is much farther ahead of the sound that you hear. In the case of the airplane’s passing overhead, you tend to be able to follow the entrails, like a path, that leads you in the direction that the airplane has gone. If only time was that way…

In the present day it seems as though time passes so very quickly. There seems to never be enough time to perform all of the tasks at hand during the day and there seems to never be enough time to get the rest we require during the night. We set out each morning with plans for the day, we get busy with those plans and time escapes us before we see those daily plans come to fruition. At night, we lay our heads down for rest and awaken to the daylight, it seems, as soon as we have settled in to sleep. We go about our lives, day to day, busy with work, family, schooling, friends and making future plans, only to look up and find that time has passed us by all too fast. Our work has become something we simply become accustomed to performing, our children have become teens, our family has grown and moved on, our friends have come and gone, we obtain degrees and diplomas and our future plans come and go as we look up and ask ourselves, “Where has the time gone? Time seems to pass us by so quickly…”

I can remember in days past, as a child, the days seeming to linger on and the nights seeming to stretch for hours. Time seeming to stand still. Now, as I’ve grown older, it seems as though the days and nights fly by like that airplane overhead. Time never standing still, only ticking at a quickened pace, beckoning to us to pause sometime and enjoy it, because if we don’t stop to enjoy the time we are given we will definitely miss it. It will have passed us by and even though we can hear it tick away, with the movement of the hands on the clock, there are no trails left behind by time for us to follow so that we can find where it has gone.

No matter what we may do in our lives, we should take the time to enjoy the moments we are given by GOD before they are gone. I have no idea if time is actually passing by faster or if there are so many things that have our attention in today’s World that we tend to miss time because we are simply too busy, but we all need to slow down and try to witness some of the time we are given. If we don’t, we’ll be looking to the Skies to remind us that time passes at the Speed of Sound.

Take the time to enjoy it before it’s gone…

The Unicorn

unicornThe Unicorn

Unicorn: A mythical creature resembling a horse with a single horn growing from it’s forehead and with wings that allow it to take flight.

Sitting on last evening, in oceanic thought, my mind ventured to the image of the Unicorn and the idea of such a creature’s existence. As I thought of it’s single horn, it’s wings, it’s ability to fly, it’s magical, fantastic beauty, in the form of a horse, my mind instantly turned to the idea of ‘Real Love.’ The type of love when one loves you for who ‘YOU’ are, nothing more and nothing less and I pondered if ‘Real Love,’ like the Unicorn, truly exist or if it is just a myth.

Throughout my life of 39 years and my experiences with personal relationships and witnessing the relationships of those around me it seems as if ‘Real Love’ is a mythical creature, conjured up in fantasy, only to be found within the pages of books or upon the big screen in movies. In the natural world today and  in today’s society, this seems to be fact because what we notice through man’s actions would have us believe no differently, but my heart will not succumb to this truth.

From day to day I observe people become involved in relationships, friendships, partnerships and marriages with no thought of ‘Real Love’ being the main ingredient. They enter into these unions for monetary, material, societal, and egotistical gain, for status. They fail to learn the heart, mind, and soul of the person they are merging with and without the element of ‘Real Love’ the relationships become terminal and those reasons that initially motivated them; the money, material, status, society, ego become ‘grey-haired’ and they no longer want the relationship or care to be invloved with the other individual. On the other hand, when ‘Real Love’ is the main ingredient, the motivation for a relationship, it lasts, no matter if all of those other things are there from the beginnning or disappear with time. With ‘Real Love’ the relationship is built on the foundation of who each individual is as a person, a human being, not any outside influences or circumstances, making for a lasting union.

Eventhough what we see today in society, so many not taking ‘Real Love’ into consideration, it is not the truth. ‘Real Love’ is not a fiction, it is not a Unicorn. It exist because I have observed it with my parent’s marriage, the marriages of family members and the relationships of friends and strangers. Yes, it can be akin to locating a ‘needle in a haystack’ at times because it is such a rarity but contrary to belief, its out there and its real. I am sure that GOD meant for marriages, patnerships and any other relationship that we enter into to be built on ‘Real Love’ when HE created the concept,  we only need to follow HIS way and put an end to building relationships on anything less than ‘Real Love.’

…I guess Unicorns do exist.
