Yellow Tape and White Chalk

YELLOW TAPE & WHITE CHALK…
-‘Yellow Police Tape and White Chalk outlining fallen bodies have become Our ‘NATIONAL’ Landmarks…’

-FATHER MICHAEL LOUIS PFLEGER (Speaking on Violence in Our Society)

The other Morning as I awakened to an Overcast Sky looking down upon Me from outside the Window, arising and stretching to awaken My limbs to take the trek downstairs to the kitchen, to add Coffee grounds to the innards of the Coffee maker so as to enjoy My Morning cup of Coffee that I look forward to every AM after its journey through the intestines of the Coffee maker, marrying with the Steaming hot H2O, being transformed from grounds to Chocolaty, liquid Pleasure, from the Carafe to My cup, I sat and peered out of the Window and said to Myself, ‘Overcast out…but still Beautiful!’

With My ‘Writer’s Journal’ and laptop in front of Me, I powered on the computer and went through the motions of logging on to the ever-so-AMAZING internet and upon arrival at My Yahoo! Homepage
I began to scan the Morning’s TOP stories. Reading and scrolling through the ‘highlights,’ I was saddened at the number of stories that I read about teen Violence, Violence period, and lives being taken, whether by Gun Violence or some other form of Violence. Instantly, My mind went to the Families and LOVED Ones of
these individuals who’s Lives had been stripped from them by another and somewhat imagining how they felt…Hurt. Heartbroken. Robbed. Helpless. Angry. Upset. Baffled. Confused. Down Right Ready to Hurt someone like they themselves Hurt at that moment…

It wasn’t Myself that was going through the loss of a LOVED One through Violence at the moment but I became ANGRY, actually ‘MAD as Hell,’ as I sat and thought about the senseless Violence that We witness every single day of Our Lives. It’s Ridiculous! It seems that a Human Life isn’t worth a Penny in today’s Society/World. We commit these senseless acts of Violence with no regard of others, how they will feel,
what it does to them and how it affects their Lives, how it affects Our Lives. We are so Hell-Bent on Self and ‘instant GRATIFICATION,’ what We WANT and appeasing Our ANGER, that stopping to THINK and making a decision that will not cause PAIN to another or ourselves doesn’t even become an option.

We ask the question, ‘What Species of Animal is the most Dangerous or Most Savage?’ And, the answer is staring Us right in the Face from the reflection in the Mirror. ‘US!’ We can take a look at other Species of Animal and notice that they kill for very few reasons. Protection of their offspring and territory, to have food for the progression of their Species and to defend self but take a look at the reasons We kill or take the
Lives of others, Envy, Greed, Jealousy, MONEY, Material, Covetousness, Illegal Drugs, Dislike, Differing Beliefs, Retaliation, Associations, Defense and a plethora of others. ALL of which are ‘senseless,’ unless you speak about defending Oneself and even then a Life doesn’t have to be taken to defend…

‘How long will We continue in this way?’ ‘How long before We say, ‘Enough is Enough,’ when it comes to Violence?’ ‘How
much Pain do We have to endure to wake up?’ ‘How many of Our Brothers and Sisters have to DIE for Us to stand up for what is Right?’ ‘How many stories do We have to read in the News about senseless Violence before we decide that WE
won’t accept it as News that We want to read anymore?’ ‘ How many Tears have to be shed by Family members and LOVED Ones left behind before We are truly motivated to put a STOP to the Craziness?’ ‘When will We cease the Genocidal
Violence on those of Our races?’ ‘When will a Life mean ‘something’ again?’ ‘How…?’ ‘When…?’

Yellow Police Tape and White Chalk Outlining Fallen Bodies can no longer be Our National Landmarks…
My Friend…My Reader…How do you feel about this?

(This topic will be revisited later…)

The True Battle…

Usa_-_FlagWe are engaged in a great societal battle, testing whether our communities, cities, states and our nation can allow itself to endure. Our battlefield is in our schools, our streets, our homes, our jobs and most of all our minds. We need to dedicate a great portion of these battlefields to finding a final resting place for the ignorance, fear and mediocrity that is threatening to ruin our way of life, the honorable and upstanding way of life and the generations that follow. We, as a people, should do this so that our nation, as a whole, can prosper and progress. It is our responsibility and it is only fitting that we should do this.

In a larger since, we cannot continue to tolerate the illegal activity that takes place around us. The sales and trafficking of drugs, the sexual promiscuity and perversion that taints our society and the lust, hunger and greed for money and material things that cause us to love things but use and mistreat our fellow man. The brave and courageous individuals, both living and dead, who struggled and who continue to struggle, do and have done it all for naught, if we continue forward as we are at the present time. If we continue forward in this tantamount fashion we are only mocking those before us that paved the way by struggling, dying or becoming martyrs to prepare a more desirable way for us.

Our society, at times, seems to forget or little notes what those, who before us, who paved the way, suffered or endured. We should never forget and should be reminded everyday by those that know and have not forgotten. Those that know, it is their responsibility, their duty, to speak of, instruct and tell the stories to those in our society that are uneducated of these facts, that they need to be dedicated to the unfinished business which those before us fought so hard to bring to fruition for our society’s advancement. It is the task of everyone here, alive at this present time, to honor those that struggled and fought before us by continuing the work that they started to make sure that those issues that threaten the forward progression of our society and our nation are obliterated. In that, the full devotion, struggle and deaths of those individuals who laid the foundation for us today will not be in vain. That this nation, under GOD, can and always will be free and that we, the people, will in no way succumb to the evils that face us today.
