Al B. Sharp VS Wild, Wild West

Al B. Sharp VS Wild, Wild West!

‘Obama shouldn’t have to lead a Civil Rights March against Himself…’

-Rev. Al Sharpton

BIG Words. LOUD Words. FRUSTRATED Words. CONSTERNATING Words. WORDS from two of the Most Influential African-American Voices in America today. As I viewed the video of their exchange on MSNBC, it
brought to mind how divided We are as a Country and definitely as a race. Rev. Sharpton has his ideas and Dr. West has his. Who’s to say which of these two Voices is right or wrong, neither of them is really, but it comes down to who made the most logical point.

Rev. Sharpton spoke on how We should not place the blame on President Obama for the job market and the unemployment rate because it is not his fault. President Obama does not regulate the jobs, the people that own the companies and corporations are the ones that regulate and have the POWER to stimulate the job market. As President, all that Obama can do is try to PERSUADE these individuals to create jobs and bring about job market STIMULATION. Rev. Sharpton also made a valid point when he said, ‘The People need to stand up and make their Voices heard to the individuals with POWER over these companies instead of continually pointing the
finger at and blaming President Obama…But the TRUTH is that they are SCARED to do that…And, ‘If the People are SCARED, say that they are SCARED…’ because blaming Obama isn’t going to bring about the results that We seek.’
I feel, as Rev. Sharpton feels, that, President Obama is doing his best to make sure that things are done EQUALLY across the board for ALL People, not any specific race or group because this Country and Nation is a place of many Cultures, Races and Peoples, and as President he has to STAND for ALL not ONE…

Dr. West had some valid points as well but I noticed that most of his statements were a bit RACIALLY CHARGED. I mean, I am ALL about STANDING up for Ones Race or what One believes but this is simply not a matter of Race, this is a matter of Humankind as a Whole, the BETTERMENT of everyone. The unemployment rate in not just affecting African-Americans but every Race, it does not DISCRIMINATE and We should see it as such. Yes, there are times when it seems as if President Obama should have stood his ground when it came to certain topics but turning this into a ‘BLACK THING’ or a ‘RACIAL THING’ is not what is needed right now. The statements that Dr. West had about, ‘Critiquing President Obama…’ and ‘The number of Blacks that have been pulled over by Police in NY…’ and ‘Worrying about Rev. Sharpton being manipulated by the White House and PlutoCrats…,’ discuss those topics in other venues but not in this one. This should not be turned into a situation of, ‘We NOW have a Black or African-American President so We, Blacks, as a Race should be receiving Our ’40ACRES and A MULE!’ Our ‘REPARATIONS!’ And…Honestly, if We got them what would We do with them if We are IGNORANT of what to do with what We have been Blessed with at Present. Another thing is, ‘If ALL One wants is a Mule and some Acreage, their Goals and Aspirations are pretty Minimal!’

Both Rev. Sharpton and Dr. West have and continue to make Great contributions to Our Society, Country and the African-American Race through their beliefs and what they STAND for, and I ADMIRE and gain INSPIRATION from them both but with the topic or issue being unemployment and job market stimulation, the idea or job is to get Our Country not simply ‘Back On Track’ but on ‘The BEST Track its Ever Travelled ON,’ bringing about jobs and employment for ALL…EQUALLY…And, we will only achieve this feat by PERSUADING the People with the POWER over job market stimulation and not by Blaming or Pointing the Finger at Our President…

My Friend…My Reader…President Obama isn’t PERFECT and He’s doing what He can with the tools He’s provided…

Like Rev. Sharpton said, ‘Why should President Obama lead a Civil Rights March against Himself?’

‘Rev. Sharpton and Dr. West…Thank You both for the Words and the Inspiration. The work that You do is Priceless, Appreciated and Admirable.’

The True Battle…

Usa_-_FlagWe are engaged in a great societal battle, testing whether our communities, cities, states and our nation can allow itself to endure. Our battlefield is in our schools, our streets, our homes, our jobs and most of all our minds. We need to dedicate a great portion of these battlefields to finding a final resting place for the ignorance, fear and mediocrity that is threatening to ruin our way of life, the honorable and upstanding way of life and the generations that follow. We, as a people, should do this so that our nation, as a whole, can prosper and progress. It is our responsibility and it is only fitting that we should do this.

In a larger since, we cannot continue to tolerate the illegal activity that takes place around us. The sales and trafficking of drugs, the sexual promiscuity and perversion that taints our society and the lust, hunger and greed for money and material things that cause us to love things but use and mistreat our fellow man. The brave and courageous individuals, both living and dead, who struggled and who continue to struggle, do and have done it all for naught, if we continue forward as we are at the present time. If we continue forward in this tantamount fashion we are only mocking those before us that paved the way by struggling, dying or becoming martyrs to prepare a more desirable way for us.

Our society, at times, seems to forget or little notes what those, who before us, who paved the way, suffered or endured. We should never forget and should be reminded everyday by those that know and have not forgotten. Those that know, it is their responsibility, their duty, to speak of, instruct and tell the stories to those in our society that are uneducated of these facts, that they need to be dedicated to the unfinished business which those before us fought so hard to bring to fruition for our society’s advancement. It is the task of everyone here, alive at this present time, to honor those that struggled and fought before us by continuing the work that they started to make sure that those issues that threaten the forward progression of our society and our nation are obliterated. In that, the full devotion, struggle and deaths of those individuals who laid the foundation for us today will not be in vain. That this nation, under GOD, can and always will be free and that we, the people, will in no way succumb to the evils that face us today.
