Al B. Sharp VS Wild, Wild West

Al B. Sharp VS Wild, Wild West!

‘Obama shouldn’t have to lead a Civil Rights March against Himself…’

-Rev. Al Sharpton

BIG Words. LOUD Words. FRUSTRATED Words. CONSTERNATING Words. WORDS from two of the Most Influential African-American Voices in America today. As I viewed the video of their exchange on MSNBC, it
brought to mind how divided We are as a Country and definitely as a race. Rev. Sharpton has his ideas and Dr. West has his. Who’s to say which of these two Voices is right or wrong, neither of them is really, but it comes down to who made the most logical point.

Rev. Sharpton spoke on how We should not place the blame on President Obama for the job market and the unemployment rate because it is not his fault. President Obama does not regulate the jobs, the people that own the companies and corporations are the ones that regulate and have the POWER to stimulate the job market. As President, all that Obama can do is try to PERSUADE these individuals to create jobs and bring about job market STIMULATION. Rev. Sharpton also made a valid point when he said, ‘The People need to stand up and make their Voices heard to the individuals with POWER over these companies instead of continually pointing the
finger at and blaming President Obama…But the TRUTH is that they are SCARED to do that…And, ‘If the People are SCARED, say that they are SCARED…’ because blaming Obama isn’t going to bring about the results that We seek.’
I feel, as Rev. Sharpton feels, that, President Obama is doing his best to make sure that things are done EQUALLY across the board for ALL People, not any specific race or group because this Country and Nation is a place of many Cultures, Races and Peoples, and as President he has to STAND for ALL not ONE…

Dr. West had some valid points as well but I noticed that most of his statements were a bit RACIALLY CHARGED. I mean, I am ALL about STANDING up for Ones Race or what One believes but this is simply not a matter of Race, this is a matter of Humankind as a Whole, the BETTERMENT of everyone. The unemployment rate in not just affecting African-Americans but every Race, it does not DISCRIMINATE and We should see it as such. Yes, there are times when it seems as if President Obama should have stood his ground when it came to certain topics but turning this into a ‘BLACK THING’ or a ‘RACIAL THING’ is not what is needed right now. The statements that Dr. West had about, ‘Critiquing President Obama…’ and ‘The number of Blacks that have been pulled over by Police in NY…’ and ‘Worrying about Rev. Sharpton being manipulated by the White House and PlutoCrats…,’ discuss those topics in other venues but not in this one. This should not be turned into a situation of, ‘We NOW have a Black or African-American President so We, Blacks, as a Race should be receiving Our ’40ACRES and A MULE!’ Our ‘REPARATIONS!’ And…Honestly, if We got them what would We do with them if We are IGNORANT of what to do with what We have been Blessed with at Present. Another thing is, ‘If ALL One wants is a Mule and some Acreage, their Goals and Aspirations are pretty Minimal!’

Both Rev. Sharpton and Dr. West have and continue to make Great contributions to Our Society, Country and the African-American Race through their beliefs and what they STAND for, and I ADMIRE and gain INSPIRATION from them both but with the topic or issue being unemployment and job market stimulation, the idea or job is to get Our Country not simply ‘Back On Track’ but on ‘The BEST Track its Ever Travelled ON,’ bringing about jobs and employment for ALL…EQUALLY…And, we will only achieve this feat by PERSUADING the People with the POWER over job market stimulation and not by Blaming or Pointing the Finger at Our President…

My Friend…My Reader…President Obama isn’t PERFECT and He’s doing what He can with the tools He’s provided…

Like Rev. Sharpton said, ‘Why should President Obama lead a Civil Rights March against Himself?’

‘Rev. Sharpton and Dr. West…Thank You both for the Words and the Inspiration. The work that You do is Priceless, Appreciated and Admirable.’

More&More

MORE&MORE…

‘More&More…More…More…’

-R. Kelly ‘More & More’

As I sat at the window this Morning enjoying My cup of Coffee and watching the Amazing Movement of the Morning as it performed it’s Natural progression into Afternoon, I wondered what I would write about today. As there are always many topics on My mind and many things that I continue to want to write about, I had to search Myself, My Mind, My surroundings for Inspiration. As I watched the Shadows continue to shift outside the window with the continued ‘higher-rising’ of the Sun, having a bag of M&Ms staring back at Me from the counter, I thought of the topics of LOVE, Truth, Education, Fear, Our World, Relationships and a plethora of others. Then I looked back at that bag of candies and I asked Myself, ‘M&Ms, as if they would reply, ‘What are you saying to Me?’ ‘What message is hidden in your Sweetness, your Rainbow of Colors, in your Logo?’, and right there it hit Me…

M&Ms! More&More!

That’s what it seems we ALL want, right? More&More…More&More money to spend on Wants! More&More things to label Our Worth! More&More attention to feel that We matter! More&More time to do ALL that We want to do and accomplish Our endeavors! More&More education, not to Learn but to Earn!  More&More people liking us so that we feel that We are Important! More&More hours in the Day so that We have time to
accomplish More&More Goals! More&More hours at Night so that We can rest Our bodies after trying to do More&More during the Day…

Its ok to want More&More when it’s for the Right reasons, actually it’s a GOOD thing to want to better oneself and progress in one’s Life but to simply want More&More for selfish reasons, or to have others say how successful you are, or because one is not Grateful for what GOD has Blessed them with or to want More&More because one feels that THAT ‘ONE MORE THING’ is going to bring them that Happiness that keeps eluding them is, I won’t say Wrong but I will say, ‘It’s for the Wrong reasons!’

More&More doesn’t bring One Happiness and if it does, it’s Short-Lived not permanent Joy. More&More doesn’t make One worth anything because Nothing outside of Us can make Us more than We already are and if it does, One has fallen for the ‘LIE.’ More&More doesn’t make One any more Important than the next One, if so; One has an elevated and ‘CONCEITED’ idea of themselves. More&More doesn’t make anyone Like or LOVE One anymore than if they had less and if it does those individuals are around or One’s Friends due to the More&More that they are in possession of.

More&More…

ALL of the Wanting of More&More is truly a searching for and a Longing for More&More LOVE, which is what We Truly Want. No matter what anyone says, LOVE is what We are ALL in search of and Long for and that is the reason We strive for More&More, thinking that it will bring Us or offer Us that LOVE. When that LOVE that We want continues to elude Us We look for LOVE in More&More Things, Money, Status, Material,
Situations, Opportunities, Associations, etc., ‘Imitations of LOVE’ but none of it will take the place of the Real Unconditional LOVE that We seek from GOD or from those people in Our Lives that LOVE Us or will continue to LOVE Us whether We have More&More or not.

More&More, just like the M&Ms Candies in the bag, it might be Good to you but continuing to eat More&More
from the bag or get More&More in your Life doesn’t mean that it’s the BEST for you or Your answer for LOVE

My Friend…True Happiness and Joy isn’t found in More&More outside of Us, it’s found in Unconditional LOVE from GOD and HE adds the More&More in Your Life that You really need.

‘Will Your More&More melt in Your Hands or will Your More&More last Forever?
